While I am certainly one to mix high and low pieces often, a lot of my wardrobe is also made up of under $200 staples that work hard for me every week. They are versatile and reliable and pieces that I always feel good when I put them on.
I really truly believe your closet should be full of pieces that make you get excited to dress up. And while I love investment pieces, I also understand everyone’s budget is different and believe there’s plenty of good wardrobe basics to be found under $200.
Wardrobe Favorites Under $200
Today, I’ve fully updated this post that rounds up all these wardrobe favorites under $200 in one post. It is freshly updated with newer purchases so if you’re looking for some affordable pieces to refresh your wardrobe as we head into a new season, this post should help.
I do my best to keep this post updated several times a year. (With seemingly everything getting more expensive these days I am always amazed to see pieces I’ve owned for several years go up astronomically in price when I go to re-link them years later!)
If an item isn’t linked it means it is either not under $200 or it is no longer available. And, if it is available it will be found in The Shop.
A lot of these pieces come from my favorite places to shop. If you have any questions about these pieces feel free to drop it in the Comments section and I’ll get back to you!

Wearing my J. Crew sweater blazer today! Love this round up!
Such a good sweater! And so glad you enjoyed!
Hi:
You are my favorite blogger for practical pieces. I just love the sezane sweater. How is the sizing? Have you seen the other colors in person? They look beautiful!
Thank you, Marianne! I sized down to a small and love the fit of it!
I recently discovered your blog and LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The best find of this year 🙂 I’ve been looking at all your jeans reviews and I’m curious: if you could only get ONE jean from Agolde, would you recommend the Toni or the Nico? I know you love both, but I wanted to start with the one that you think is the most loved/versatile in your closet. I read the descriptions and reviews for both, and am so torn. Thank you in advance!!
Yay – welcome, Sarah and thank you for the kind words! I’d say the Toni over the Nico just because the Toni are a bit more comfy and great for everyday wear given the ankle crop means they can go with SO many types of shoes! Let me know if you end up getting them!
Wonderful, will do! Thank you so much!!
Thanks – a great round-up of basics that look more expensive than their price tags! It pays to develop a good eye for style!
Love everything in this list! Especially the Sezane lacy tops!!
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed it!!
Love this round up and your stuff all around! I appreciate that you put this list together and it’s not fast fashion! Between the Sezan striped top and the ayr, if you only had to pick one, which would you start with?
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’d go with the Sezane one as it is more versatile. The AYR one is more slouchy and therefore really casual.
